Having grown up in a family that traveled coast to coast via car for every vacation and family milestone, it’s clear to me that there is nothing that parallels the beauty of our land…except maybe the angelic voices of the Public School 22 (PS22) Chorus from Staten Island. With a commitment since 1991 to protect America’s forests and grasslands, the National Forest Foundation (NFF) has launched a new campaign encouraging people across the U.S. to get involved in the enjoyment and restoration of these precious lands — with the help of Discovery Communications and the celebrated PS22 Chorus.
Invoking the powerful words of Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know,” the public service announcements feature the students of the PS22 Chorus and encourages all of us to become a “Friend of the Forest.” The PSAs debuted on Destination America last month and will be featured across our nets.
