Delos™ and Overbury and Morgan Lovell Form Strategic Alliance to Integrate Health and Wellness Into the Built Environment
NEW YORK, March 31, 2017 /3BL Media/ – Delos™, a wellness real estate and technology firm, today announces a strategic alliance with Overbury PLC and Morgan Lovell PLC, two of the United Kingdom’s foremost office design, fit out and refurbishment firms, to accelerate the transformation of indoor environments into spaces that promote human health and wellness. As part of the new relationship, Overbury and Morgan Lovell will demonstrate a commitment to supporting the continued global reach of the WELL Building Standard™ (WELL), which is the world’s first building standard focused exclusively on the effects of the built environment on human health and wellness.
“Overbury and Morgan Lovell are demonstrated leaders in the commercial office market known for their commitment to green building,” said Delos Founder and CEO Paul Scialla. “By providing healthy building guidance to the corporate community, Overbury and Morgan Lovell will continue to create offices of the future that support employee health, wellness, and productivity. Given 90 percent of the costs of a building are the people inside of that building, the prospects for return on investment for employers are significant.”
As part of the alliance, Overbury and Morgan Lovell will professionally accredit at least 6 employees through the WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP™) program, which signifies advanced knowledge in human health and wellness in the built environment and specialization in WELL, over the next year. Given two of the firms’ environmental and sustainability managers were among some of the first WELL Accredited Professionals in the UK last year, the new agreement and additional accreditations will continue to strengthen Overbury and Morgan Lovell’s ability to provide clients with tools to realize the benefits of WELL and guide current and future projects toward WELL Certification.
Overbury and Morgan Lovell have also committed to facilitating a quarterly WELL forum to share best practice, guidance and training with its supply chains - the first of which was hosted in London in March 2017 to great success.
“As early adopters of the wellness agenda and WELL philosophy, we’re delighted to announce our alliance with Delos today,” said Chris Booth, Group Managing Director of Overbury and Morgan Lovell at Overbury and Morgan Lovell. “These days it’s not unusual for people to spend more time in the office than at home, which is why we’re so dedicated to promoting wellbeing to our clients, consultants and supply chains to create workspaces with occupiers in mind. Wellness is becoming more mainstream in the UK and we’re proud to be surrounded by like-minded real estate professionals who see the value in such a standard.”
Overbury and Morgan Lovell are part of Morgan Sindall Group PLC – a leading UK construction and regeneration group with revenue of c£2.6 billion.
WELL is third-party certified through IWBI’s collaboration with GBCI, which administers 10+ billion square feet of LEED buildings globally, so that WELL can work seamlessly with LEED and other green building certification programs.

Case study
Overbury is proud to be fitting out one of the earliest office schemes in the UK to simultaneously target a WELL Certification and a BREEAM Refurbishment & Fit Out (RFO) 2014 rating. In November 2016, IWBI and BRE announced an agreement to pursue alignments between WELL and BREEAM that will make it easier for projects pursuing both standards.
Currently on site, the 265,000 sq ft fit out includes construction works to the basement and lower ground floor, as well as finishes to the main reception, client floors, and the workspace and amenities floors at One New Street Square, which global financial advisory firm Deloitte has taken on a 20-year pre-let.
Deloitte already occupies numerous buildings at the New Street Square campus so the works will also include the installation of two link bridges to connect One New Street Square with the adjacent building, Two New Street Square. Completion of the Overbury fit out is anticipated in December 2017, with Deloitte aiming to occupy its expanded headquarters from the beginning of 2018.
