Cox Automotive Presents WIT’s Women of The Year in Technology Awards

Nominations now open for prestigious recognition of Georgia women with significant impact on technology communities

ATLANTA, July 1, 2015 /3BL Media/ — Women in Technology (WIT) is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the 2015 Women of the Year in Technology (WOTY) Awards. Sponsored by Cox Automotive, a leading provider of digital marketing, wholesale and e-commerce solutions across the automotive industry, WOTY celebrates women technology executives for their accomplishments as leaders in business, visionaries of technology and women who make a difference in their communities.

Co-chairs for the 2015 WIT Women of the Year are Jackie Breiter, 2012 WOTY winner and Associate Dean, Technology Services, Goizueta Business School, Emory University;  and Janet Barnard, 2014 WOTY winner and President of Manheim North America.

To qualify, nominees must hold business or STEM leadership roles within a technology organization in Georgia or they must maintain STEM leadership positions within a non-technology organization. Winners will be announced in three categories:

  • Large/Enterprise Business, representing companies with more than 2,500 employees
  • Medium/Mid-Size Business, representing companies with 251 to 2,500 employees and Educational Institutions
  • Small/Emerging Business, representing companies with 250 employees or less

The short nomination form used for initial selection is now open.  Individuals can be nominated by peers or friends, or nominate themselves until Friday, August 7, 2015. Once selected as a nominee, a long form detailing accomplishments is required for judging. A selection committee comprised of former finalists, technology executives and representatives of WIT narrow the pool of nominees to three finalists in each of the three categories, based on the merits of their applications. One winner from each category will be announced at the November 19, 2015 gala event.
