Competition Encourages College Students To Save Water And Energy

There’s a global race going on at the moment in search of renewable, clean types of energy to enable a transition from our current fossil fuel-based economy to a sustainable way of life. These include solar, wind, hydrogen and biofuels, among others. Natural gas is also being pursued as a transitional alternative. But this will take a while for a various reasons, since it is no easy task to update a whole system, especially with strong political and economic interests at stake.
But there’s something that can be done now that is good business for everyone: reducing consumption of energy as well as water. And how about harnessing that other source of amazing energy – youth - to achieve this mission?
