Coming Soon: Timberland and Found Object present “KOMBIT: The Cooperative”

The documentary "KOMBIT: The Cooperative", premiering next week at SxSW Eco, tells the story of two unlikely partners and a determined community of 3,200 farmers in Haiti who band together with bootmaker Timberland to help fulfill the company’s vision to plant 5 million trees in 5 years, while building a sustainable and profitable agricultural enterprise. The resulting organization, the Smallholder Farmers Alliance, has helped participating farmers realize increases in crop yields, income, and access to education for themselves and their families.

The film will be available for purchase (download or streaming) on Tuesday, October 6.  All net proceeds will be directed to Impact Farming (a U.S. non-profit organization) to benefit the Smallholder Farmers Alliance in Haiti.  Visit www.KombitFilm.com to learn more.
