Comcast NBCUniversal Named a Top Military Friendly Company
As we recognize National Veterans and Military Families Month throughout November, we’re excited to announce that Comcast NBCUniversal has been recognized as a 2022 Military Friendly® Employer, Military Spouse Friendly® Employer, as well as being named to the Top 10 lists for Military Friendly® Company, Brand and Supplier Diversity Program.
These special distinctions recognize our company’s commitment to creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community.
Comcast NBCUniversal has also been designated as a Gold-level employer for our military hiring initiative and military-inclusive programs, like our Veterans Network Employee Resource Group, professional development and mentoring programs for veterans, and our commitment to recognizing our military community employees.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Military Friendly,” said Carol Eggert, Senior Vice President of Military and Veteran Affairs at Comcast NBCUniversal. “It’s our mission to create an inclusive and empowering workplace for our military-connected teammates to grow in their careers, because we value the advanced skills and experience they bring to our company.”
While Comcast NBCUniversal remained at #4 as a Top 10 Company, we moved up to #2 on the Military Friendly Brands list. This award measures a company’s social and material investment in support of the military and veteran community, including consumer supports and protections.
Likewise, our #5 ranking for our Supplier Diversity Program is our highest yet, and we’re proud to advance economic inclusion by working with veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, with nearly 200 veteran-owned suppliers in our portfolio.
“We strive to provide equitable access for all diverse-owned suppliers, including veteran-owned businesses,” said Ajamu Johnson, Vice President of Enterprise Procurement at Comcast. “We view supplier diversity not as a project or a program, but as the way we conduct business at Comcast NBCUniversal.”
