Comcast NBCUniversal Named Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality
November 27, 2017 /3BL Media/ - For the sixth consecutive year, Comcast NBCUniversal earned a score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and was named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
The CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
Diversity and inclusion are a top priority at Comcast NBCUniversal, and the company is committed to creating a culture of inclusion for our LGBTQ employees. OUT, Comcast NBCUniversal’s LGBTQ-focused Employee Resource Group (ERG), engages people at all levels of the organization, empowering employees to drive exceptional business results while supporting an inclusive, collaborative company culture. The group has grown to over 4,000 members across more than 20 chapters. OUT@NBCUniversal, founded in 1986, was one of the nation’s first LGBTQ-focused ERGs.
It is also important for our programming to reflect the diversity of all communities, which is why Comcast NBCUniversal offers a wide array of content. Our Xfinity LGBTQ Film & TV Collection provides a home for LGBTQ storytelling including some of the community’s most important stories, unique curations and community recommendations. The collection includes love stories, coming out stories, inspirational stories, documentaries, award winners and much more.
