CNH Industrial Wins Big at the Indian Tractor of the Year Awards 2022
August 9, 2022 /3BL Media/ - New Holland Agriculture, a brand of CNH Industrial, has bagged three prestigious awards at the third edition of Indian Tractor of the Year (ITOTY) 2022.
The brand won Best Tractor in the 46-50 HP category for the New Holland 3600-2 All Rounder Plus and in the Post-Harvest Solution of the Year for the New Holland Square Baler BC5060. New Holland was also presented with the award for Best CSR Initiative for their innovative project on the prevention of crop stubble/residue burning and straw management. These accolades reaffirm the brand's prowess in equipment and farming solutions in the country.
ITOTY has been organized annually since 2019 to recognize the innovation and efforts of tractor and farm equipment manufacturers. The awards are focused on manufacturers’ innovation, new products, and features.
Mr. Kumar Bimal, CNH Industrial’s Director of Agriculture Sales & Network Development for India & SAARC, said he is delighted that the brand’s efforts have been recognized by the highly esteemed judges, event organizers and farmers.
“At New Holland Agriculture we have always been committed to providing superior quality equipment to farmers,” Mr Bimal said. “We believe in investing our resources not only on products but also on sustainability in agriculture.”
“Our dedication to advancing farmers’ productivity and providing them with efficient solutions to make their lives easier is stronger than ever.”
The advanced New Holland 3600-2 All Rounder Plus, with its highest useful power and torque, is best-in-class for the 50 HP segment. India’s first inline high-speed tractor, it has a host of industry-leading features including a 2000 kg lifting capacity, independent power take off (PTO) clutch and rollover protection structure (ROPS) canopy. With its lowest specific fuel consumption (SFC) in the segment, it is known to be the most fuel-efficient tractor in the category.
Additionally, along with tractors, New Holland also offers harvesting and crop residue management solutions. The New Holland Square Baler BC 5060 offers the best productivity per hour. It has also played a major role in the sustainable management of crop residue (such as paddy straw, wheat straw and cane trash), enabling these surplus products to generate electricity, ethanol, CBG (compressed bio gas), and raw material for the paper industry.
The brand’s various corporate social responsibility initiatives demonstrate its innovative approach to sustainability. The prevention of crop stubble/residue burning and straw management solution project was devised to prevent crop burning and offer farmers an alternative means for crop residue management. It was launched in 2017 at a single village in Punjab in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture. New Holland has donated equipment and provided support to run the CSR project, which has since been extended to a total of 11 villages.
