CNH Industrial Brands Supporting Sustainable Mechanized Cotton Harvest in Uzbekistan
From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, CNH Industrial N.V. and its brands have found innovative solutions to overcome unprecedented challenges in order to deliver mission critical equipment the world over.
The latest in a series of shipments consists of agricultural machinery from Case IH and New Holland Agriculture and construction equipment from CASE Construction Equipment to support Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, specifically cotton and grain.
Uzbekistan is one of the biggest global producers of cotton, which is the country’s principal cash crop. Uzbekistan is committed to mechanizing the country’s cotton industry. And CNH Industrial’s brands offer a full line-up of solutions for the total mechanization of the cotton harvest from plowing to planting, cultivating to harvesting and residue management. Furthermore, a portion of the units being provided in the order will also be used for the forthcoming grain harvest, guaranteeing further cultivation and food sources.
As well as supporting a more sustainable, multifold harvest, the delivery of these units has been carried out with a number of partners to realize transportation based on co-modality, incorporating a mix of transport modes for the most optimal and sustainable approach to getting the equipment, built at the Company’s plants in Austria, China, Italy, Sweden and the USA, to its final destination. All of this ensures timely delivery to the end customer to enable them to make full use of the equipment for the cotton harvesting season.
