C.N. Brown Company's Annual MDA Shamrock Campaign Surpasses Fundraising Goal
CITGO Marketer Fights Back for Mainers Affected by Neuromuscular Diseases
SOUTH PARIS, Maine, April 21, 2014 /3BL Media/ -- C.N. Brown Company and CITGO Petroleum Corporation, sponsors of the annual "Buy A Shamrock" paper mobile program to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), raised more than $103,000 to benefit children, adults and families affected by neuromuscular disease in their local communities. From mid-February through March 17, 2014, C.N. Brown CITGO Big Apple Food Stores inMaine, New Hampshire and Vermont encouraged customers to purchase $1 and $5 paper shamrock mobiles to raise funds for MDA.

In addition to the millions of dollars that CITGO, C.N. Brown and its customers have raised for MDA over the years, the proceeds from the 2014 "Buy a Shamrock" campaign will help the local MDA chapters of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont send children to MDA summer camps and support research and clinics in Bangor and Portland, Maine. MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat neuromuscular disease through worldwide research, comprehensive services and far-reaching professional and public health education.
