CITGO Petroleum and Quality State Oil Raise $32,000 for MDA at Annual Golf Challenge
Local CITGO Marketer Continues Fueling Good
ELKHART LAKE, Wis., July 25, 2013 /3BL Media /PRNewswire/ - CITGO Petroleum Corporation and local Marketer Quality State Oil recently raised $32,000 at the 24th Annual Quality State Oil/CITGO Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Golf Challenge. The tournament took place on July 10 at the Quit Qui Oc Golf Club in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
Each year, the MDA Golf Challenge raises money to assist families in the Elkhart Lake area who are dealing with the challenges associated with muscular dystrophy. The funds raised directly support local clinics, care programs and support groups for children and adults coping with neuromuscular diseases.
"We are honored to aid in spreading awareness of MDA each year," said Scott Stangel, wholesale marketing manager for Quality State Oil. "Along with CITGO and more than 20 other corporate sponsors, we are able to help those in Sheboygan County coping with neuromuscular disease for the 24th consecutive year. We are always willing to lend a hand for such a worthy cause."
This year's event was particularly exciting as the CITGO Fueling Good Van stopped by to show support for the community on its road trip across the country. The Fueling Good Road Trip Ambassadors, Adam and Diego, highlighted all the good the participants, sponsors and volunteers continue to do for the Greater Sheboygan County area.
"We love when our Marketers form a strong relationship with their community," said Alan Flagg, general manager light oils marketing for CITGO. "Quality State has certainly formed a strong bond with Elkhart Lake through its years of supporting the MDA Golf Challenge, and we are happy to support a cause that is so close to our hearts as well."
