CITGO Kicks Off 2015 Marketer Roundtable Meetings

Series of Meetings to Share CITGO Programs and Industry Trends

HOUSTON, January 13, 2015 /3BL Media/ – CITGO Petroleum Corporation is kicking off the new year with 18 Marketer Roundtable Meetings across the CITGO footprint from January 13-29. Designed to empower CITGO-branded Marketers to move their businesses forward with industry insights and best-in-class marketing programs, these meetings also offer Marketers the chance to meet one-on-one with CITGO team members and partners who can provide information for specific challenges. Marketers will learn about 2015 CITGO program updates, advertising plans, payment card options and other valuable tools to generate more traffic and sales at their independently operated locations.

“These Roundtable Meetings allow us to share exciting new CITGO programs with our Marketers while also giving us the chance to hear directly from them about what works best and where they might need additional support,” said Alan Flagg, assistant vice president of supply and marketing for CITGO. “Since each of our independent Marketers has different business goals and challenges, we are constantly working to tailor our programs with their success in mind. That has always been a main focus of the CITGO brand.”

Some of the programs designed to drive retail traffic and customer loyalty for CITGO Marketers and Retailers that will be discussed at the 2015 Roundtable Meetings include the following:

  • Club CITGO, a mobile loyalty program that lets shoppers redeem instant deals, earn rewards and win prizes;
     
  • Highlights of the Trimark of Excellence mystery shop program plus the latest updates on the CITGO Centennial Image;
     
  • The latest POS Incentive Programs to ensure stations are compliant with payment card regulations and an overview of emerging mobile payment technologies that Marketers can use today;
     
  • Tips on maximizing CITGO Rewards and Fleet Card Programs to get the most benefits for consumers and station owners; and
     
  • Test results from pilot programs initiated at the CITGO Retail Concept Center

Additionally, most of the Roundtable Meetings will also feature guest speaker Michael Davis, vice president, member services at NACS, The Association for Convenience and Petroleum Retailing, who will discuss the latest trends within the industry.
