Chocolatefest Weekend to Benefit Susquehanna Service Dogs
Harrisburg, PA, December 3, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Tickets are now on sale for Keystone Human Services’ Chocolatefest! This chocolatey weekend will be held on January 31-February 1, 2015 at The Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA.
This year’s Chocolatefest Weekend is going to the dogs—Susquehanna Service Dogs, that is. Both ChocolateBall and Chocolatefest benefit Susquehanna Service Dogs (SSD), a program of Keystone Human Services which trains and provides service dogs to assist children and adults with a disability to become more independent.
Chocolatefest Weekend begins January 31 at 6 p.m. with the Crystal Ball, a glittering black tie event, complete with dinner, dancing, live music, live and silent auctions, and more. Once again, Mountz Jewelers will be donating a stunning piece of jewelry that one lucky guest will take home.
On February 1, guests can spend the morning or afternoon sampling tastes of mostly chocolate creations from area confectioners, restaurants, hotels, and caterers. In addition to lots of chocolate, Chocolatefest includes live entertainment, a silent auction, children’s activities, and an impressive cake competition. This year’s theme for the cake competition is “Dogs Change Lives.”
The Chocolatefest Premiere session begins at 10 a.m. on February 1, followed by General Session 1 at 12 p.m. and General Session 2 at 2 p.m.
Tickets for Chocolatefest general sessions cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door, as available. Tickets for children ages 5-12 cost $5. Premiere tickets cost $50. Guests can also purchase an All-Day VIP ticket for $75 and attend all three sessions. Susquehanna Service Dogs is fully accredited by Assistance Dogs International. Since 1993, SSD has placed over 235 service dogs with children and adults with disabilities, as well as military veterans, to assist them to be more independent.
