Celebrating the Unsung Heroes of Foster Care Adoption

March is National Professional Social Worker Month. This is a time for us to celebrate the men and women who work with some of the most challenging situations in our child welfare departments.

According to the National Association of Social Workers, there are more than 650,000 social workers across the country.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is proud each and every day of the work that our Wendy’s Wonderful Kids adoption recruiters do. These men and women work with our nation’s most vulnerable youth, the children who have been in foster care the longest, the children who might have given up hope of a forever family.

But day in and day out our adoption recruiters stay committed to these children. They are determined, persistent and tenacious.
