Coffee is enjoyed every day, but it’s especially celebrated on National Coffee Day (September 29)! According to the National Coffee Association, the average American drinks 3.1 cups of coffee a day— that’s nearly 80 gallons of coffee per year!

Many small-scale coffee farmers live in remote regions that have limited access to opportunities for themselves and their families, making them more vulnerable to middlemen who buy their coffee at a fraction of the value. Fair Trade Certified™ products are a great way for consumers to help eliminate exploitation and protect fundamental human rights. 

The Fair Trade premium goes into a communal fund for thousands of workers and farmers to use to improve their social, economic and environmental conditions.
