Caterpillar Foundation Grant to Help San Antonio Food Bank Nourish the Community

The San Antonio Food Bank recently received an investment from the Caterpillar Foundation to help bring more food to people in Seguin, Texas who are struggling with hunger.

The grant to the Food Bank, part of an investment the Caterpillar Foundation made to Feeding America member food banks across the country, will go toward food sourcing initiatives that will result in more food for local food pantries, shelters and soup kitchens.

“Our reach to 16 counties in Southwest Texas could not be done without the support of our corporate partners. This donation helps to ensure that we are able to reach those in outlining areas who may not have the same access to services as other area residents,” said Eric Cooper, president & CEO of the San Antonio Food Bank.

A portion of the donation will also go toward helping Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, increase the number of meals it brings to people through the organization’s nationwide network of food banks.
