Business Leaders Convene at UN to Discuss SDGs on March 7-8
During International Women's Day 2016, Speakers from Microsoft, DSM, Qualcomm, BBC News, and UN Foundation to Lead Panel on SDGs
On March 7 - 8 at the United Nations and Microsoft's New York office, The Business of Inclusion: Global Prosperity through Women and Girls Empowerment will convene more than 500 public and private sector leaders to explore inclusive solutions that create opportunities for women and girls around the world.
With the new Sustainable Development Goals in place, the time is now to harness the collective action of the public and private sector to fully realize this potential. During this two-day program, we will hear how the business community is applying a gender lens to their local and global development work.
Looking to 2030: Gender and Business in the Global Development Agenda Panel
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have set out to alleviate extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and address climate change. During this session, panelists will discuss the importance of gender empowerment and how business can help us achieve all 17 goals. Panelists will discuss priorities, strategies, and best practices taken from the Millennium Development Goals to help further the reach, impact, and involvement of all sectors.
