Booz Allen Hamilton Honored at Washington Business Journal Corporate Philanthropy Awards
Booz Allen Hamilton was honored last week at the 2015 Corporate Philanthropy Awards, an event to honor “the region's most active and inspirational companies and nonprofits who have made a difference in their communities through both financial and volunteer philanthropic work.” The firm was recognized for the high number of volunteer hours its employees contribute to local and national charities.
Booz Allen employees drive many of the firm’s philanthropic investments, helping identify the programs that will have meaningful results and lasting impacts. As employees personally commit to serve socially responsible causes, the firm backs them up with corporate resources. In 2014, Booz Allen employees volunteered a record 152,713 hours nationwide as part of the firm’s 100th year “Centennial Community Challenge.”
