Speaker Profile: Thomas Knowlton, Vice President and Director of the Corporate Practice, TCC Group

Since joining TCC Group, Knowlton has worked with a number of corporate clients, including work with Wachovia, Wachovia Regional Foundation, Wells Fargo, Pfizer, Tufts Health Plan Foundation, Monsanto, Hess, Nestle Waters North America, Coca-Cola, NewAlliance Bank, Seagate Technology, ChevronTexaco, Goldman Sachs, UBS, Computer Associates, Prudential, Altria, Kraft, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Microsoft, JM Family Enterprises and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Prior to joining the firm, Knowlton spent six years at The Council on Economic Priorities, most recently as the Executive Director.  The Council’s work focused on tracking, evaluating and reporting on the corporate social responsibility records of Fortune 500 companies.  The organization’s research was featured in consumer books and publications, business publications such as Fortune Magazine and The Wall Street Journal, and through an annual Corporate Conscience Awards Program, honoring the leading companies in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Knowlton received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and Bachelor of Arts Degree from Trinity College.

Speaker Profile: Chantell Johnson, Director of Evaluation, TCC Group

Johnson brings to the firm experience in program evaluation, management and administration as well as organizational assessment and strategic planning.  While at TCC Group, Ms. Johnson has contributed to organizational assessment and strategic planning engagements and served as a principal investigator and project manager for many evaluations.  Clients include foundations (community, private and corporate) and nonprofit organizations (including universities, school districts, individual schools, museums, and several educational organizations). 

Ms. Johnson has conducted and written on a “community of learners” approach to evaluation which emphasizes client involvement, capacity building and learning as the cornerstones of any evaluation assignment.  Ms. Johnson has engaged multiple educational and learning based organizations such as museums in using such learning-based approaches to evaluation including:  the Archdioceses of Chicago’s Office of Catholic Schools, the University of California San Francisco, Action for Healthy Kids, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the Newark Public Schools, the Freeman Foundation, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, the John G. Shedd Aquarium, and numerous informal learning centers.

Johnson received her Master's in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her Bachelor's of Science in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
