BCtA Podcast Series | Healthcare for the Underserved: Inclusive Business Innovation
Healthcare for the Underserved: Inclusive Business Innovation is a three-part podcast series exploring how Inclusive Businesses are developing innovative solutions to provide healthcare to underserved and unserved communities.
The series brings together three innovative inclusive business companies from the health sector with a focus on Colombia, Cameroon and Pakistan. The Asia Forum 2018 held in Manila in June was chosen as the site to connect and to lead interesting discussions with respective experts. Through interviews with founders and leading employees from our BCtA member companies, we explore the challenges and opportunities in the Health Care and Pharmaceutical sector. We believe that these insights will help to inspire others to overcome their challenges or to leverage future opportunities.
The podcast is divided into three episodes:
-
Nida Shehzad, Lead Digital & Innovation at Sehat Kahani
-
Dr Camilo Gonzales, Market Access/Innovations & Payer Solutions Manager at Sanofi
-
Dr Agbor Ashu, Co-Founder and Medical Officer at GiftedMom
The Saving Lives Sustainably, Asia Forum 2018 focused on the important role manufacturers and suppliers in the health sector can play in contributing towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, through sustainable production practices. The inseparable link between planetary and human health and well-being was emphasized, as was the need to strengthen engagement and open dialogue between private sector, government and civil society stakeholders.
The Forum is organized by UNDP as the host agency to the UN Informal Interagency Task Force on Sustainable Procurement in the Healthcare Sector (SPHS) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in partnership with Health Care Without Harm (HCWH), UN Environment, UNFPA, UNICEF and the Business Call to Action.
