AWEARNESS, The Kenneth Cole Foundation Launches Retail Program To Raise Funds Towards Community Builiding In Haiti
(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) New York, NY - March 2, 2012 - AWEARNESS, The Kenneth Cole Foundation announces a retail program to raise money to support the Kenneth Cole’s community building initiative in earthquake-torn Haiti and other charitable initiatives around the world. The program, which runs from March 1 to March 18, encourages customers to donate $10 in Kenneth Cole retail stores and online at www.kennethcole.com at check-out.
As a thank you for donating, customers will receive a 20% discount off their full-price purchase. Additionally, when customers provide their email address they’ll receive an exclusive offer to shop later in the month.
In Haiti 3.5 million people were affected by the devastating earthquake of 2010. Two years later more than 500,000 people are still homeless. Immediately following the earthquake, Kenneth Cole Productions organized a shoe drive for those affected and communicated a message of support via a billboard campaign. This past October, Kenneth Cole and 16 associates travelled to Haiti to volunteer and launch a community building initiative on the ground.
The program also harnesses the power of social media. For every fan who “likes” the info-graphic on the Kenneth Cole facebook page, the company will donate $1 towards the initiative. Kenneth Cole will also utilize its “WHERE DO YOU STAND” platform to encourage debate on the topic.
