AT&T Developer Program Contest Encourages Creation of Applications With Environmental and Energy-Efficient Benefits
(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Dallas, Texas - December 6, 2011 - Earlier this summer, AT&T* challenged software developers to create innovative applications that deliver an environmental or energy efficient benefit through the Power Your Future mobile app contest. Software developers submitted over 100 apps using iOS, Android and HTML5, competing for the opportunity to potentially have their app pre-loaded on future AT&T smartphones, as well as cash prizes and recognition at the 2012 AT&T Developer Summit in Las Vegas.
More than a typical app contest, the Power Your Future program invites customers to download and vote on four finalists, earning even more exposure for these developers. Anyone interested in these apps is encouraged to download and vote for their favorite by visiting the Sustainability Solutionswebsite. Users can leave comments when they vote for apps, providing a valuable source of feedback for developers. Get automatically enrolled for a chance to win one of ten $100 gift cards being given away each month for three months. Entering is easy and can be done via the voting site. Now through Dec. 9, AT&T will give away 10 gift cards each month for a total of 30 winners.
