Astellas Recognized as “Best of the Best” Employer by DiversityComm Publications
NORTHBROOK, Ill., May 25, 2016 /3BL Media/ – Astellas was recently named a top employer in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Biotech sector by several leading diversity-focused magazines published by DiversityComm, Inc. (DCI). DCI is dedicated to the advancement of all aspects of business and employment to ensure equal opportunity in the workplace.
In March, Professional Woman’s Magazine listed Astellas as a “Best of the Best” employer for the second consecutive year. Since 2015, various publications have recognized Astellas for advancing a culture that empowers its female employee base. As part of these efforts, the company established a dynamic employee resource group (ERG) known as “Stellar Women” that serves as an active support and advocacy community for women within the organization.
The Black Equal Opportunity Employment Journal recognized Astellas as a top employer in April, marking the company’s first appearance on this list. With the support of its African American ERG, Astellas has cultivated a diverse and inclusive environment to drive innovative solutions that embrace multicultural opportunities and mirror the needs of the global community.
Finally, this past May, Hispanic Network Magazine named Astellas a top employer. This, again, marks the company’s first appearance on the list. In September 2015, Astellas and its Hispanic ERG celebrated Hispanic Heritage month through an installation at its Americas headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois that highlighted key contributions to society by leaders of Hispanic heritage. Astellas also hosted a highly-regarded Hispanic guest speaker who delivered an inspirational speech to more than 200 employees.
