Arrow Electronics Hosts 196 Interns Across the United States
This summer, Arrow Electronics hosted 196 interns across the United States, giving them valuable experience in a corporate setting to kick-start their professional careers.
Most of the interns are completing the three-month program in the Denver headquarters, but others are spread throughout the country, spanning from Arrow locations in Nevada to Minnesota.
From May to August, interns worked in their designated departments of sales, marketing, supply chain, finance or engineering, gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of numerous professionals. In addition, several company executives dedicated their time to network with interns.
Aside from their regular departmental duties, interns were divided into various case competition teams. Each group worked to solve an issue and integrate a solution related to the implementation of IoT in smart buildings. The program concluded with the presentation of these solutions to senior leadership.
"While working with my team, I have gained valuable experience in seeking a solution to a complex problem through collaboration. In addition, I learned how to present and sell my ideas to high profile audience,” said Tucker Wall, Arrow big data intern.
