Arrow Electronics Celebrated National Volunteer Month and Arrow Charitable Year-One Success

Arrow Electronics is committed to serving the communities in which its employees live and work. Each year, Arrow employees partner with local nonprofits around the world, extending the company’s collaborative and innovative culture into the broader community. For national volunteer month, Arrow celebrated its employees’ commitment to giving back and the first year for Arrow Charitable.

In 2017, Arrow’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) team launched a new employee engagement platform, Arrow Charitable. The platform supports employees in the U.S. and Canada, making it easier to engage within the community through the gift of time or money.

Employees can donate directly to their favorite charitable causes or join select corporate matching campaigns. Individual employees and employee teams can also log their volunteer time to qualify for a matching financial contribution through the Dollars for Doers program. Last year, employees supported 185 charities through the platform, participating in 570 events and racking up over 5,000 volunteer hours.

“At Arrow, our people are the momentum behind all we do, and we invite our employees to share their unique skills and perspectives in service to others. Arrow Charitable was designed to support employees and their passion for making the world a better place,” said Alex West, global corporate social responsibility manager for Arrow.

Arrow believes that purposeful community engagement makes for happier employees and a stronger company. Providing a user-friendly tool to facilitate that engagement demonstrates Arrow’s commitment to taking corporate social responsibility companywide.
