Antea Group Receives Two 2020 EBJ Business Achievement Awards

ST. PAUL Minn., February 11, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Environmental Business Journal® (EBJ), a business research publication which has provided strategic business intelligence to the environmental industry since 1988, has honored Antea Group with two 2020 EBJ Business Achievement Awards.

The EBJ Business Achievement Awards customarily recognize business performance in conventional metrics like revenue growth, M&A, exceptional projects, technology development and deployment in the field, and advances in information and digital technology, and these categories were well represented in 2020. Two major categories added to the 2020 awards were “COVID Resilience” and “COVID Response.”

Antea Group won an EBJ Business Achievement Award in the “Technology Merit” category for the use of smart glasses for virtual auditing and won in the “New Practice Area” category for the Resources-as-a-Service (RaaS) solution for EHS&S staffing.

Technology Merit Award – Smart Glasses: Antea Group uses smart glasses to cost-effectively support remote site inspection associated with due diligence activity when in-person site reconnaissance is not possible due to travel, safety, or confidentiality restrictions. Smart glasses can be used to visually audit and inspect a property and its operations – both inside or outside – and stream or record data for interpretation, interactive Q&A, and photo documentation. Via computer and secure interface, multiple people can engage remotely in real-time review of facility operations and site features. While cell phones and tablets can offer similar access, smart glasses work with and without internet access and allow for secure storage of facility images and data. In scenarios such as during the Covid-19 pandemic, when site access is restricted or confidential, Antea Group sends the smart glass technology to a designated on-site facility employee, provides training, and conducts a live stream of the site inspection. The interactive capabilities of the smart glass technology allow for questions, picture taking, texting, and recording of the site walk for documentation purposes and sharing with third-party stakeholders.

New Practice Area Award - RaaS: Resources-as-a-Service (RaaS) is a fully scalable new solution to temporary environment, health, safety, and sustainability staffing. Some jobs within EHS departments are temporary and don’t require the addition of full-time staff and some jobs require a higher level of expertise so are difficult to fill.
