Addison Helps CDP Promote Environmental Disclosure Services
Addison is pleased to highlight our recent collaboration with CDP with the release of its North America brochure. The document showcases CDP’s impact on driving environmental disclosure in the U.S. and Canada, as well as the programs and services they provide to companies in the region. Using information graphics, quotes and a bold look to underscore the key achievements, the document visually introduces the nonprofit’s multiple processes.
The brochure was released during CDP’s Annual S&P 500 Climate Change report launch, held recently on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange. The event provided an update on greenhouse gas emissions data and climate change strategies from the largest U.S. public corporations. The Addison team was in attendance and enjoyed meeting with familiar faces from corporations and NGOs.
During the event, CDP’s Chief Executive, Paul Simpson, congratulated the company representatives on their progress in better managing their organizations’ risks from a changing climate. The timing of the event correlated closely with the release of the IPCC Fifth Assessment report, affirming that human impact on climate change is ‘unequivocal,’ and that preventing changes in all aspects of the climate system will require ‘substantial and sustained reductions of greenhouse gas emissions.’ Simpson reminded the room of the urgency of the problem, and of the necessity to do more to achieve greater emission reductions more quickly.
