The 3BL Media video team was on location at the 2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit to capture footage and insights from the annual event. This series of videos captures comments from thought leaders and practitioners about effective community involvement programs.
We don’t have favorites among our clients and network partners. But boy, do we love Prometheus Real Estate Group. Not only is their engagement program dynamic and exciting, incorporating the latest trends in leveraging technology and new media for employee and consumer volunteer engagement, but Jessica Johnson, Learning and Development Manager at Prometheus, is super nice.
In this video Jessica speaks about the Prometheus POrCH program (Prometheus Outreach and Community Help), and how since its launch three years ago it has succeeded in achieving a 70% engagement rate among Prometheus employees.
Jessica (along with we folks at VolunteerMatch) are especially excited about the next phase of POrCH, which will introduce volunteering opportunities to Prometheus “neighbors” (tenants.)
Jessica explains how increased engagement of both employees and consumers is important for Prometheus as a business. “If you have a positive feeling about the place that you’re living,” she says, “You’re gonna tell your friends.”
VolunteerMatch, Jessica says, has played a key role in the success of the POrCH program. Not just our employee volunteer engagement technology tools, but also the Consulting services we provided to Prometheus.
