A recent report (2020) from the Norwegian independent research organization, SINTEF, shows that freight carried by air produces around 50 times (dependent of flight type/distance) more CO2 than transoceanic sea freight. Research from SINTEF shows that Hiddenfjord has reduced carbon emissions from overseas transportation by 94% as a result.

Atlantic Salmon farmer, Hiddenfjord has announced the suspension of all air freight as of 10-10-2020. This change has reduced Hiddenfjord’s overseas transportation CO2 emissions by 94% —as reported by the independent Norwegian research organization, SINTEF.
