VolunteerMatch’s Site Traffic Hits All-Time High Post-Inauguration

SAN FRANCISCO, February 2, 2017 /3BL Media/ -- VolunteerMatch, the Web’s largest volunteer engagement network, announced today that its website’s traffic increased by as much as 76% in the days following President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2017, marking the busiest time in the website’s history.

Launched in 1998, VolunteerMatch facilitates connections between potential volunteers and the causes they care about through its website VolunteerMatch.org. In 2016, the website averaged 41,324 visits per day. However, on January 24, 2017, the busiest day in the website’s history, it was visited 72,355 times. From January 20, 2017, to date, VolunteerMatch.org has welcomed over half a million unique visitors.

This is the second time the website has seen a dramatic uptick in traffic in the past few months. The first occurred in the days immediately following the 2016 U.S. presidential election, with November 10, 2016, being the 2nd busiest day in the website’s 19-year history.
