Pedigree® And Whiskas® Launch This Year's Charity Campaign For World Animal Day In Poland
Mars Petcare brands, Pedigree and Whiskas have been celebrating World Animal Day in Poland for over a decade, and for many of those years they have delivered a string of successful charity campaigns.
Together with customers and consumers, Pedigree and Whiskas have donated over 7 million meals for pets in 21 shelters across Poland.
The objective of the latest World Animal Day "Buy & Help” campaign, was to raise awareness of how homeless animals living in shelters need help, and to highlight the exceptional relationships that humans and pets can have. In Poland, there are around 100,000 animals in shelters and they are often underfed, so without the help of campaign's like this one it is unlikely they would be able to survive the winter.
Following the great feedback last year's campaign received, even more media and celebrities were willing to engage with this year's World Animal Day and the Pedigree and Whiskas campaign. With such fantastic support and the growing success of each annual campaign, the Mars Petcare brands plan to encourage more people to get involved and help to spread the message.
In order to reach out to more people than ever before, a group of eleven famous Polish singing stars were invited to record a pop song called “Nie jesteśmy najważniejsi” ("We are not the most important"), that helped to deliver the important messages of the campaign in an engaging and heartfelt way. The music was written by Polish literary Nobel Prize winner Michal Rusinek and composed by famous Polish composer Janusz Stocklosa, and an additional twelve ambassadors appeared in the music video which can be watched here.
