LIVESTRONG is a Family
The late Stuart Scott said that LIVESTRONG is more than an organization, it’s a family. We couldn’t agree more. We are not only a family of 32 million members with unique stories, but we are also a family with one goal – to help others in their fight against cancer.
There are so many ways to be a part of our family. You can make the commitment to participate in one of Team LIVESTRONG’s 22 events that range from walks, rides, runs, triathlons, Tough Mudders and even rappelling down skyscrapers.
If you’ve recently finished treatment, you can be a part of the family by joining one of 450+ LIVESTRONG at the YMCA programs around the country to improve your strength and quality of life.
If athletic events aren’t your thing, you can sign up to become a LIVESTRONG Leader and represent the foundation in your community. By supporting our priorities, developing relationships with community leaders and initiating their own activities, more communities and individuals are impacted by the Foundation’s mission and services. Applications are open until Feb. 19.
You can also help advocate for programs and policies that influence our healthcare systems and improve treatments and outcomes around the world in Washington, D.C., and beyond.
If you simply want to create a grassroots event or fundraise, we’re always happy to help you with the tools you need to be successful, too.
However you want to get involved, there is an outlet for you.
Whatever your strengths, LIVESTRONG needs you to help others in the fight against cancer. As our core values state – “We change the way the world fights cancer, but we cannot do it alone.” Join us this year and get involved. Become a part of the best family around – the LIVESTRONG family.
