Ikea Plans on Replacing Polysterene With Mushroom

Ikea has its fair share of devoted fans, who are crazy about its designs (and price). To add to their excitement, Ikea UK is planning on replacing environmentally-unfriendly polysterene with a more organic, sustainable and, above all, biodegradable, alternative: mushroom.
The announcement is part of the affordable furniture retailer drive towards reducing waste and recycling, says the National Post, which quotes the company's head of sustainability in the UK, Joanna Yarrow.
