Last year, many of us turned on a green light to honor and recognize those who sacrificed so much for America. With Veterans Day upon us, let’s reignite them once again. In addition to the green porch lights that dotted neighborhoods across the country in 2015, others participated in a number of ways. GreenlightAVet.com saw more than 3 million online acts of support, and landmarks turned green across the U.S.

This week, we saw the Country Music Awards turn green, and GreenlightAVet.com has been glowing ever brighter as individuals add their lights to a national map. Here’s how you can support:

  • Change lightbulbs to green outside your home or at work

  • Take pictures and use the #greenlightavet hashtag

  • Add your light to the map on GreenlightAVet.com to show your support

For veterans returning to the civilian world, a green light is a simple way to communicate that someone cares.
