Campaign: Hertz On Demand

(3BL Media) March 27, 2012 - Hertz On Demand is joining forces with the Sustainable Operations Summit to promote sustainability in the built environment and address the business challenges and opportunities around green transport, energy efficiency and resource management. By providing attendees access to its car sharing service, Hertz On Demand will encourage the use of sustainable transportation through firsthand experience with shared use vehicles including electric vehicles, hybrids and high fuel efficiency vehicles.

The 2012 Sustainable Operations Summit will be taking place during Earth Week in New York City, April 17– 19, 2012. The Sustainable Operations Summit is the premier forum for leading organizations to share best practices with a focus on energy, the built environment and resource conservation. This summit focuses on sustainable initiatives that benefit both the environment and the bottom line.

Summit thought leaders, including Bill Clinton, Don Cheadle and Amory Lovins will be presenting examples of how environmental responsibility can lead to positive business results. Successful case studies include Tony Malkin, owner of the Empire State Building, discusses how he cut energy use 38%, saving $4.4 million annually and Patty Calkins overviews how Xerox saved hundreds of millions of dollars annually through conservation strategies. Additional speakers from Yum! Brands, Avon, Bank of America, FedEx, Whole Foods, Xerox, Yahoo!, NBC Universal, NRDC, and MGM Resorts will also be presenting.
