CSR in Canada
In “CSR in Canada, Part Three,” Lorraine Smith, Director, SustainAbility, highlights the role of the small businesses of Vancouver as a major driver for CSR throughout Canada. The environmental and social issues of British Columbia were adopted by the business community, creating a climate for the creation of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility, founded in Vancouver in the 1990s. From British Columbia, CSR ideas spread east to affect larger Canadian corporations (CBSR opened its Toronto office in 2003). The third in a four-segment interview series.
