BJ’s Wholesale Club Kicks-Off New Kearny Location with $10,000 Grant to Recreation Department

WESTBOROUGH, Ma., June 16, 2016 /3BL Media/ - In celebration of the BJ’s Wholesale Club opening soon in Kearny, the company today announced a $10,000 BJ’s Charitable Foundation grant to the Kearny Recreation Department to help the nights get a little brighter at Harvey Field. To provide even more support to the local community, the company is also giving the Recreation Department and other organizations the chance to earn up to $100,000 in funds through its Fuel Your Fundraiser^® program.

“BJ’s Wholesale Club is privileged to serve the Kearny community, and we’re proud of the positive impact we have on local children and families,” said Robert Reyes, general manager of the BJ’s Wholesale Club in Kearny. “We’re pleased to be coming to Kearny later this summer and we’re thrilled to present this grant to the Kearny Recreation Department.”

The new 85,000 square foot BJ’s Wholesale Club will be located at 180 Passaic Avenue in Kearny. The Club will offer significant savings on high-quality fresh foods, including produce, fresh meat and deli items, and household essentials, like laundry detergent and diapers. The Club will also feature outstanding value on general merchandise, including electronics and apparel. The Club will provide an economic boost to the community, adding about 140 jobs.

Through the Fuel Your Fundraiser^®program, community organizations receive funds for every BJ’s Wholesale Club membership sold through the program. BJ’s provides all marketing promotional materials (flyers, posters, and applications) plus expert advice and support from its sales team.

Community organizations can benefit from BJ’s Fuel Your Fundraiser program by earning $5 for every renewed membership sold through the program.

Organizations can also earn bonus payouts for the following new membership sales:

• $3,750  for 250 memberships (total payout of $5,000)
• $12,500 for 500 memberships (total payout of $15,000)
• $35,000 for 1,000 memberships ( total payout of $40,000)
• Maximum payout of $100,000 for reaching 2,500 memberships
