Ashoka Executive in Residence Team to Host Pro Bono Week Panels

Arlington, Va., October 23, 2013 /3BL Media - Ashoka’s Executive in Residence program, a global leader in matching corporate executives with top social entrepreneurs for impactful pro bono placements, will host a pair of webcast conversations with program alumni on October 23 and 25, as part of Global Pro Bono Week.
On Wednesday, October 23, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Ashoka’s Executive in Residence team will host a live discussion featuring Ashoka Fellow Mike Feerick and Domenico Guajana, Brand Manager – Diabetes at Boehringer Ingelheim. The panelists will talk about Guajana’s pro bono collaboration with ALISON, the online education initiative that Feerick founded to provide free skills training and competence testing to users around the world.

Then on Friday, October 25, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Ashoka’s Executive in Residence team will host a live discussion between Ashoka Fellow Salomón Raydan and Maximiliano Babino, General Manager of Western Union Argentina. The conversation will focus on Babino’s Executive in Residence placement with Fundefir, the communal banking and credit system that Raydan established to expand financial services to low-income people in South America.
